Job Description
Immediate openings for experienced Material Handler/Forklift Operator on 2nd shift at a fast
- paced food packaging company in Burlington. Hours are 2:55 pm
- 11:05 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and other heavy equipment to load and unload trucks and move materials within the warehouse and deliver products to production lines throughout the shift.
- Maneuver forklifts in tight spaces while following OSHA and company safety guidelines
- Inspect forklifts before use (check fluids, tires, brakes, etc.) and report malfunctions.
- Follow all food safety protocols and adhere to OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Wrap pallets
Qualifications:
- MUST have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Min. 2-3 years' experience operating sit down forklift and other equipment in manufacturing environment
- Proficient in material handling techniques including operating pallet jacks, and good organizational skills, familiar with safety protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. and physically demanding tasks
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing
