Job Description

Quad seeks an Inventory Control Material Handler to support our technology-driven marketing and production operations. In this role, you will receive, verify, store, and issue materials and components used in print and digital production workflows, maintaining accurate inventory in ERP/WMS systems. You will perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and coordinate with production, purchasing, and logistics to ensure materials availability. The position requires safe forklift and material handling practices, strong attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming materials and components Store and organize inventory using established location and labeling systems Issue materials to production and technology teams based on work orders and schedules Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/WMS and related IT systems Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies Coordinate with purchasing, production, and logistics to maintain optimal stock levels Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently Monitor inventory for damage, obsolescence, and proper rotation (FIFO/FEFO) Support process improvements to increase inventory accuracy and material flow efficiency Follow all safety, quality, and compliance procedures in warehouse and production areas Required Skills Inventory control Warehouse Management System (WMS) usage ERP inventory transactions Forklift and material handling equipment operation Data entry and basic Excel skills Cycle counting and reconciliation Shipping and receiving processes Barcode/RFID scanning Basic knowledge of safety and OSHA practices Communication and coordination with operations teams
