Yard Associate

Lumber Yard Associate - Cedar Direct Wisconsin Dodgeville, Wisconsin Cedar Direct is a specialty lumber yard focused on providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service to contractors, builders, and homeowners. We are currently seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Lumber Yard Associates. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position ideal for someone who enjoys active work, teamwork, and helping customers bring their projects to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and unload lumber and building material deliveries Organize and maintain inventory throughout the yard and warehouse Load and prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery Safely operate forklifts, skid steers, and other yard equipment Assist customers with product selection and answer questions Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Support daily yard operations and work closely with team members

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous lumber yard, warehouse, construction, or building materials experience is a plus Ability to safely lift heavy materials (50 lbs.+) Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Basic math and organizational skills Forklift certification is a plus, but training is available Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude Team-oriented mindset with strong customer service skills
