Material Handler / Machine Operator Job Description The Material Handler / Machine Operator is responsible for supporting production operations by safely moving materials, operating equipment, and ensuring products are processed, packaged, and shipped accurately. This role works closely with production and warehouse teams to maintain efficient workflow, manage inventory, and support shipping and receiving activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Operate production equipment and machinery according to established safety and quality standards. Load raw materials, components, and supplies into machines or production lines. Move materials throughout the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Monitor machine performance and production output to ensure efficiency and product quality. Perform basic machine adjustments, troubleshooting, and routine equipment checks. Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with company quality standards. Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks. Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and proper documentation. Stage materials for production and maintain organized inventory locations. Support inventory control by performing cycle counts and reporting shortages or discrepancies. Package, label, and prepare completed products for shipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures and company policies. Essential Skills Experience operating manufacturing equipment, production machinery, or automated systems. Material handling experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Forklift and pallet jack operation experience. Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures. Ability to read work orders, production schedules, and shipping documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Ability to perform routine machine troubleshooting and basic maintenance tasks. Experience using computer systems for inventory tracking and production reporting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Material Handler, Production Worker, or Warehouse Associate. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing production demands. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the shift. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Experience with ERP systems, scanners, or inventory management software is a plus. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Greenville, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $62000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
