Summar y : We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to join our team in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing facility specializing in laser cutting, metal fabrication, and machining. The General Laborer will support various departments with material handling, equipment setup assistance, cleaning, and general plant upkeep. This role is critical to maintaining efficient operations and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist machine operators and fabricators with loading/unloading materials.
Move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility using hand trucks, forklifts, or cranes (if certified).
Perform basic assembly or prep work as instructed.
Clean work areas, machines, and equipment to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
Assist with packing, labeling, and preparing products for shipment.
Dispose of scrap materials and follow recycling or waste disposal procedures.
Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies and report shortages.
Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform other general duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead.
Qualifications /
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong work ethic and excellent attendance
Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement
Competent at basic shop math
Able to work as a team and coordinate work with other departments
Prior experience in a manufacturing and machine operation experience is a plus.
Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
