$20 - $32 an hour Job Description This role focuses on carefully wrapping painted parts and cabs in protective packaging materials to ensure safe transport between a new assembly facility and various plants. You will help reduce damage and rework by following and improving packaging standards, working closely with the team to refine processes as operations grow. The position requires consistent physical activity, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to reliability and quality in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Wrap painted parts and cabs in appropriate packaging materials to protect them during transport between facilities and plants. Handle and lift parts and materials regularly, including lifting up to 35 pounds consistently throughout the shift. Load, unload, and move packaged parts safely to designated areas for transport or storage. Support the creation, refinement, and documentation of packaging processes and standards for the new assembly facility. Follow written and verbal instructions accurately to ensure proper packaging methods and flow. Inspect parts and packaging for potential damage or issues and take corrective action to minimize rework. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with manufacturing and safety guidelines. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to implement feedback and process improvements. Meet production expectations while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail. Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality to support consistent production and workflow. Essential Skills Experience in general labor or manufacturing environments. Ability to consistently lift up to 35 pounds while handling parts and packaging materials. Comfort with packing, packaging, and production-related tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills to follow instructions and collaborate with the team. Ability to load, move, and position parts safely and efficiently. Adaptability and openness to feedback and change as processes are fine-tuned. Demonstrated excellent attendance record and reliable work history. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a production, packaging, or loading role. Experience working in a manufacturing environment with standardized processes. Comfort working with evolving procedures and contributing ideas for process improvement. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing and assembly setting at facilities such as IPP (Mayflower) or ASY (American Drive). You will work around painted parts, packaging materials, and production equipment in an active plant environment. The role involves standing, lifting, and moving throughout the shift. Standard schedules include first shift (5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday), second shift (2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday), and weekend shift (5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday through Sunday), with the weekend schedule offering 36 hours of work with pay for 36 hours. The environment emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork while supporting consistent production flow. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manitowoc, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
