Material Handler Job Description The Material Handler plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by safely moving products throughout the facility, assisting with pulling and unloading shipments, and ensuring production areas remain stocked so operators can maintain continuous workflow. This position uses forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials and supports accurate inventory handling within a busy warehouse and manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Move products and materials efficiently throughout the facility to support manufacturing and warehouse operations. Assist with pulling, unloading, and staging incoming and outgoing shipments. Ensure production operators have a steady supply of materials to keep manufacturing processes running smoothly. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to transport products and materials. Perform material handling tasks, including loading, unloading, and organizing inventory in designated areas. Use RF scanners to pick, track, and verify inventory and orders. Support accurate inventory handling by picking and placing products according to established procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the warehouse and production zones. Follow all facility safety guidelines and equipment operation procedures while performing material handling duties. Essential Skills Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. in material handling, including loading, unloading, and moving products. Hands-on experience working in warehouse operations. Ability to use RF scanners for picking and inventory tracking. Familiarity with inventory handling and order picking processes. Capability to operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment safely. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as a material handler in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Comfort working around heavy equipment and industrial machinery. Strong attention to detail when handling, organizing, and tracking inventory. Ability to work collaboratively with operators and warehouse staff to support production flow. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing facility that produces equipment for the mining industry. The position follows a first-shift schedule, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Fridays, with work performed in active production and warehouse areas. Team members work around industrial machinery, forklifts, and material handling equipment in a fast-paced setting that emphasizes safety, organization, and efficient workflow. Appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing and warehouse environment is expected. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Richmond, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
