This position requires immense attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask. This position will use company equipment to handle incoming shipments and disperse as needed. Additional duties include, but not limited to, loading and unloading trucks of all sizes, preparing shipments, unpacking shipments, filling out shipping forms, receiving UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc., stocking, organizing shelves, making bin change assignments, changing bin locations, and general light housekeeping. This position will require daily lifting of 50 lbs. or more, using a manual forklift, pallet jack, dollies and other equipment as necessary. This position is responsible for hand delivering items to various areas within the plant.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Receive items Deliver items to various areas of the plant Load and unload trucks of various sizes Prepare shipments Handle all shipments with care to prevent damage Pack and unpack boxes Stock boxes on shelves Clean, adjust and assemble shelving units Pull orders from stock and deliver to assigned areas Perform all duties necessary in delivering material and packaging supplies to production teams Assist other employees as directed Assist with perpetual inventory Assist with annual inventory Check inventory levels when stocking orders Maintain a neat and orderly work area and department Complete reports by entering required information Be on time for work Follow company policies and procedures Comply with all company safety and operating procedures Material handling using pallet jacks, etc. accurately count and sort inventory items / boxes help to receive shipments help to stage product for shipping use a computer / email, help to maintain spreadsheets potential for using inventory management systems (scan boxes, print labels, etc.) print, sort and manage UPCs Overall, well organize Other duties as assigned by supervisor Proven warehouse experience Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and another warehouse equipment Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system Standing on your feet all day Team player with organizational skills Ability to lift or move heavy products High school diploma
