Job Description

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
We are looking for an individual to join our fast-paced 1st shift team. We are a small company with a strong family feel, the right person for this role should be energetic, personable and self-directed.
Required:
  • Stand-up reach truck experience.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Multi-tasking
  • Team player
  • Friendly, with an outgoing personality and positive attitude is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Receive and stock product from manufacturers and wholesalers leasing space from Winnesota Regional Transportation. Moves product within the warehouse, operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Working in Refrigerated and Frozen warehouse chambers. Cold gear will be provided.
  • Equipment that may be utilized includes forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach truck units
  • Ensure an accurate quantity of product is received by comparing appropriate BOL or documentation and matching product numbers.
  • Perform sortation to include scanning, unload, load and returns processing
  • Question and resolve discrepancies as required
  • Identify product overages/shortages/damages from delivery upon receipt of product
  • Stock product in the proper location. Product location information is then submitted to receiving as available inventory. WMS entry and location assignments.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties
  • Perform sortation tasks with core customer sortation and distribution
  • Perform tasks as directed to include facility housekeeping and maintenance as needed.
  • Facility duties, Cleaning of warehouse.
  • Counting on a case level to ensure pallets shipped or received have the correct amount of product
  • QC of shipments, Reporting damages or shortages.
As well as inspecting trailer/Dock Truck for proper sanitation conditions
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a warehouse laborer or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must be dependable and demonstrate the ability to follow directions
  • Ability to become certified in the operation of all warehouse equipment
  • Ability to make independent decisions within well-defined guidelines
  • Must be a team player
  • Good communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated basic math, reading, and writing skills
  • Ability to operate warehouse scanning equipment and WMS software
  • Successful completion of criminal background check
Preferred :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Limited computer data entry skills, understanding of MS Outlook, Excel, Word and WMS software.

Work requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity. While performing duties of this job, employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. Employee may physically lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds using carry aid devices as needed. Regularly operate warehouse equipment which requires manual dexterity requiring some coordinated movements. May require physical effort associated with using the computer or hand-held scanner to enter information. Ability to work in a cold storage environment as needed.
