Material Handler Reports To :
Shift Supervisor Pay start at $18.50, after a successful 60-day training period, rate would go to $20.
Authority:
All employees have the authority to stop operations/production for the following three reasons: 1) a quality defect, 2) an unsafe act, or 3) a health hazard. The schedule for 1st shift is Mon, Tue, Wed, and Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm Job Competencies/Duties (include, but are not limited to):
Competencies:
Be able to lift 401bs High School diploma or equivalent work-related experience Forklift truck operation Software used to track inventory Stand for at least 8 hours Well-organized and self-motivated
Job Duties:
Transport material (virgin or regrind resin, colorant, packaging materials, etc.) to the press and ensure that the material reporting form is accurately up to date. Report for work, clock in at the scheduled time, and be at their workstation/area on time Helps with rework of parts as needed Always Keep machine hoppers full (verify the specific material before loading hoppers). Tilt gaylords as needed to ensure all material gets loaded. Clean any material spills on the machine or around the machine due to loading, purging, or any other handling. Give press operators breaks as needed. Clean grinders and hoppers in detail as needed. Grind runners & scrap parts & assure no contamination takes place. Clearly identify on the gaylord or drum the lot number, item number and description of material. When a material change occurs, we fill out all required paperwork. Mix the re-grind in the appropriate % with the virgin material. Maintain and dump all garbage into the main dumpster at the end of the shift before leaving. Help with material inventory (raw material, packaging). Help keep machines and the plant clean. Operate forklift truck. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
