About the Role We are seeking a skilled Industrial Material Handler to join our growing warehouse team. In this role, you will play a critical part in our supply chain by managing the safe movement of heavy steel materials, ensuring inventory accuracy, and optimizing warehouse organization to meet distribution goals. Responsibilities Operate overhead cranes to efficiently load, unload, and transport steel products throughout the facility. Coordinate the movement of materials from receiving to storage and final shipping staging areas. Maintain precise inventory records by updating location logs and performing regular cycle counts. Prepare products for shipment by verifying order accuracy and resolving any logistical discrepancies. Document all distribution activities through detailed reporting and digital record-keeping. Uphold rigorous safety standards to ensure a secure and efficient working environment for the entire team. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or warehouse setting. Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Proficiency in inventory control procedures and documentation. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Preferred Skills Experience with kinetic or oxy-fuel cutting equipment. Prior background in steel distribution or heavy manufacturing logistics. Technical proficiency in reporting software and warehouse management systems.
