Material Handler - 1st Shift RamRod Industries - Spencer, WI RamRod Industries is looking for a dependable, hardworking Material Handler to join our team on 1st shift . What We Offer $17.50 - $21.00 per hour $175 monthly safety award opportunity 401(k) retirement program with 50% company match up to 6% of wages 80 hours of paid holidays Paid vacation Tuition reimbursement program On-the-job training and opportunities to learn new skills Opportunities for advancement within manufacturing What You'll Do As a Material Handler, you will play an important role in keeping our production and shipping operations running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
Receive and ship materials and finished products by comparing part numbers, quantities, weights, and other information against bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, orders, and related documents. Complete all required shipping and receiving paperwork and ensure it is delivered to the appropriate location. Follow inspection requirements and complete required inspection checklists. Safely operate a forklift and overhead crane to load and unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility. Perform dock audits and visual final inspections before products are shipped. Properly identify, label, and organize materials, containers, and parts. Assist machine operators by delivering parts and materials to production areas. Stage materials for rod and barrel production areas. Deliver pallets, boards, racks, and other materials to the paint area as needed. Learn part numbers and maintain knowledge of material and product storage locations. Maintain proper organization and storage of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products. Complete required computer functions, including clocking in and out of jobs and verifying payroll hours. Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment both inside and outside the facility. Troubleshoot problems and make decisions with minimal supervision. Follow RamRod's ISO procedures and quality requirements. Look for ways to improve the efficiency, organization, and overall operation of the shipping and receiving areas. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Dependable and hardworking Safety-minded and quality-focused Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Able to work independently and as part of a team Willing to learn new skills and take initiative Able to operate or willing to learn to operate a forklift and overhead crane Comfortable using basic computer functions Manufacturing or material-handling experience is preferred but not required
