• Full-time Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.

The base rate for this position starts at $20.72 per hour (with $1.50 per hour shift differential) and could increase up to $24.04 per hour as skills are mastered.

ESSENTIAL

DUTIES and

RESPONSIBILITIES

; other duties may be assigned. Upholds Andis Core Values in all work-related activities. Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ensure materials or containers to be moved. Open containers. Safely loads and unloads by hand or with industrial truck or electric hoist, materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment. Safely loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated area. Count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled. Attaches identifying tags of labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers. Process packages through computer manifest system as required. Obtain printed barcoded labels and apply to master cartons. Utilize handheld computer devices to perform inventory transactions. Follow proper procedure regarding receiving goods and MSDS. Occasionally operates company vehicle to complete out of plant duties (i.e., mail runs) for authorized drivers only.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is preferred. Good dexterity and attention to detail. Andis is an equal opportunity employer.
