Veritas Steel LLC is seeking a General Laborer/Fabricator to support the production of complex steel bridge structures and heavy components. In this role, you will assist with layout, cutting, grinding, fitting, and basic fabrication of structural steel using hand and power tools in a safety-first, team-oriented environment. You will handle materials, support welders and fitters, and help maintain a clean, organized shop. Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble steel bridge and structural components per drawings and work orders Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication equipment safely Measure, cut, grind, and fit materials to required specifications Assist with layout, positioning, and alignment of heavy steel members Perform material handling, loading, and staging using shop equipment Inspect work for quality, accuracy, and conformance to standards Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards Work collaboratively with welders, fitters, and supervisors to meet production goals Required Skills Structural steel fabrication Blueprint and shop drawing reading Measuring and layout Cutting and grinding tools Material handling and rigging basics Use of hand and power tools Shop math and measurement Quality inspection and tolerances Safety procedures and PPEOverhead crane or forklift operation
