We're looking for a detail-oriented Material Handler to join our warehouse and logistics team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring materials and finished goods are received, stored, documented, and shipped accurately and safely to support our customers and manufacturing operations. You will work closely with warehouse, production, quality, and transportation partners to maintain efficient inventory flow, uphold regulatory requirements, and ensure on-time delivery performance. The Role & Your Impact As a Material Handler, you will support shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and warehouse operations while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and other required records. Review shipment documentation, including packing slips, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and Certificates of Conformance (COCs). Record shipment information such as weights, freight charges, discrepancies, damages, and related logistics data. Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records. Process shipments using UPS and FedEx shipping systems. Prepare customer orders for shipment using inventory management systems. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move materials safely throughout the warehouse. Support the receipt, storage, and shipment of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods. Ensure proper inventory rotation using FIFO and expiration-date controls. Monitor inventory and maintain adequate supplies of shipping materials. Schedule and coordinate material transfers between facilities. Safely drive company vehicles within the state of Wisconsin as required. Report damaged, defective, or questionable materials to supervisors. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures. Perform additional warehouse and logistics duties as assigned. What You'll Need to Be Successful High School Diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience in a warehouse, shipping, logistics, or material handling role. Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, food, or related industries. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), product safety requirements, sanitation standards, and inspection guidelines. Experience operating sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and powered pallet jacks. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to maintain reliable attendance and follow company policies and procedures. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Flexibility to support varying work schedules when business needs require. Additional Skills & Interests We Value Experience using SAP or other ERP systems. Experience with inventory control and warehouse management systems. Knowledge of shipping carrier systems and transportation documentation. Continuous improvement mindset and problem-solving capabilities. Experience supporting cross-functional warehouse and production activities. Ways of Working / Working Conditions Shift Information - Monday-Friday with hours of 7am-3:30pm Work is primarily performed in a warehouse environment. Exposure to occasional cold temperatures and moving mechanical equipment. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas and may include safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, and freezer gear. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and material movement activities are required. Regular use of computers and warehouse equipment. Frequent communication with internal teams and transportation providers. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds. Flexibility to work additional hours when operational needs require.
Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate:
$20 an hour 401(k) with up to a 9% company contribution. Minimum of 3 weeks of vacation plus 12 holidays and 2 weeks of Wellness Time. Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance.
