Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. Job Description A warehouse worker receives, stores, picks, packs, and ships products, ensuring accurate inventory counts and a safe, organized work environment. Key tasks include loading/unloading goods, operating equipment like forklifts, using computer systems to track stock, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness. This physical role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers.

Key Responsibilities Receiving and Unloading:

Accepting deliveries, inspecting shipments for accuracy and damage, and unloading goods from trucks.

Inventory Management:

Organizing, stocking, and storing products in designated areas, conducting periodic inventory counts, and maintaining accurate records using computer systems.

Order Fulfillment:

Picking specific items from stock to fulfill customer orders and preparing them for shipment.

Packing and Shipping:

Packaging items securely, wrapping them for dispatch, and loading packed goods onto delivery vehicles.

Equipment Operation:

Safely operating machinery and equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other lifting devices to move heavy materials.

Warehouse Maintenance:

Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse facility, ensuring a safe and orderly environment.

Safety Compliance:

Adhering to all health, safety, and regulatory standards within the warehouse. Common Tasks Moving, sorting, and counting materials. Inspecting incoming shipments and outgoing orders for damage or discrepancies. Operating various warehouse machinery and vehicles. Updating inventory records using scanners and computer systems. Disposing of packing materials and waste. Collaborating with team members to meet productivity targets. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills or experience: Previous warehouse experience is preferred, including familiarity with inventory management practices. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance is beneficial. Background in manufacturing or construction may enhance suitability for this role.
