Job Description

Kamps Overview:
Kamps, Inc. is a full-service national pallet company delivering innovative pallet services to customers since 1973. Kamps specializes in supplying high quality wooden pallets, comprehensive pallet recycling services, and total pallet management services to diverse supply chains across the nation. With over 400 locations in its pallet network, and 62 asset-based locations, Kamps is the national leader in customer-centric supply chain services.
Job Overview:
Kamps is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Pallet Repair Technicians. In this role, you'll inspect, repair, and prepare wooden pallets to meet customer specifications while helping maintain a safe and productive manufacturing environment. This is a physically demanding position involving the repair and handling of solid wood pallets that require repetitive lifting and movement throughout the workday. Employees should be prepared for continuous physical activity, including lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for the duration of their shift. Our facility is covered but open to the elements, so employees work in varying weather conditions throughout the year. This is not a climate-controlled work environment. Steel-toe boots and appropriate work attire are required due to the physical nature of the job. Kamps reimburses up to $50 annually toward the purchase of required safety footwear. Many of our production positions are performance-based (piece-rate), allowing employees to increase their earnings as they build speed, quality, and consistency. Training is provided, and motivated employees have the opportunity to earn well above the hourly base rate. We're looking for dependable individuals who are eager to work, contribute to a productive team, and take advantage of opportunities for growth within our expanding organization.
Essential Functions:
Inspect, repair, and rebuild wooden pallets according to customer specifications and company quality standards. Safely operate nail guns, hand tools, and other production equipment. Meet established production, quality, and safety expectations. Lift, move, stack, and handle wooden pallets and pallet components throughout the workday. Identify and sort reusable pallet components during the repair process. Complete required production documentation, including daily piece-rate reporting. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals. Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, warehouse, landscaping, roofing, or other physically demanding work is preferred but not required. Ability to safely perform repetitive physical work throughout the shift. Comfortable working in a covered outdoor manufacturing environment in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely operate or learn to operate nail guns, hand tools, and other production equipment. Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and meeting production expectations. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance. Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, team-oriented manufacturing environment. Willingness to learn new skills, accept coaching, and adapt to changing production needs. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
