• Job Description
• This role supports a large distribution center in Cheyenne, WY that serves dozens of retail locations.

Warehouse Workers play a key part in the flow of merchandise by unloading incoming trailers, preparing products for storage, and loading outbound trailers for shipment to stores. You work in either Shipping or Receiving, handling a wide variety of heavy and large items and ensuring they are processed safely and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Responsibilities
• + Work in Shipping or Receiving to load and unload incoming and outgoing trailers, primarily by hand.

+ Hand-stack products onto pallets inside trailers when items are not already palletized, ensuring they are ready for storage in the warehouse.

+ Unload trailers and transport merchandise within the facility using appropriate material handling methods and equipment.

+ Select, stock, and load heavy and large merchandise onto trailers for shipment to retail stores.

+ Observe incoming and outgoing merchandise for manufacturers' defects and damage, and identify items that do not meet quality standards.

+ Handle merchandise carefully throughout processing to avoid damage during unloading, stacking, stocking, and loading.

+ Use RF scanners and related warehouse technology to track, select, and verify inventory as required.

+ Operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner when needed.

+ Follow established shipping and receiving procedures and meet productivity and accuracy expectations in a busy distribution environment.

+ Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance to support team workflows and scheduled shifts.

+ Participate in facility tours and ongoing training to learn warehouse processes, safety practices, and performance expectations.

+ Comply with all safety, security, and facility rules, including required screenings and adherence to site access procedures.

• Essential Skills
• + Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly, including lifting and loading product overhead onto trailers.

+ Comfort working in a large, loud, and busy warehouse environment with high activity levels.

+ Strong willingness to learn warehouse processes and adapt to a fast-paced distribution setting.

+ Reliable punctuality and consistent attendance across scheduled shifts and any required overtime.

+ Stable work history demonstrating dependability and a positive, cooperative attitude.

+ Capability to perform physically demanding general labor tasks for extended periods.

+ Basic understanding of shipping and receiving workflows or readiness to learn them quickly.

+ Ability to follow instructions, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures.

+ Eligibility and willingness to complete required compliance screenings, including drug testing and BCchecks.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong work history and attitude.

+ Experience with loading and unloading trailers in a distribution or logistics environment.

+ Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory tracking and order selection.

+ Material handling experience, including working with palletized freight and loose items.

+ Ability to use pallet jacks and other non-powered material handling equipment safely.

+ BC in shipping and receiving operations, including staging and organizing outbound loads.

+ Forklift experience is a plus, even if not required for all tasks.

+ Comfort performing general labor duties such as stacking, sorting, and moving products.

+ Openness to contract-to-hire opportunities, with eligibility for permanent hire after a defined number of hours.

+ Ability to communicate effectively on the floor; Spanish language skills are welcome on certain shifts.

• Work Environment
• The work takes place in a very large, loud, and busy distribution center that handles high volumes of merchandise for multiple retail stores.

You spend most of your time on the warehouse floor in Shipping or Receiving areas, working around trailers, pallets, and material handling equipment. The environment is fast-paced and can be physically demanding, with frequent lifting of items up to 70 lbs, including overhead loading. Typical shifts include a day shift (generally Monday through Thursday, with extended hours currently in place), a night shift (evening to early morning across multiple weekdays with occasional extra days), and a weekend shift (Friday through Sunday with extended hours and an additional weekday as needed). Each shift includes one unpaid 30-minute break and two paid 15-minute breaks. You may use RF scanners, pallet jacks, and other standard warehouse tools as part of your daily work. Access to the facility requires proper identification, and compliance with site safety, security, and screening procedures is expected. Dress is practical and suitable for warehouse work, focusing on safety, comfort, and readiness for physical tasks.-

• The pay range for this position is $18.

25 - $21.75/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
