$95,000-$110,000 Summary A long-standing food production company in the southern suburbs of Chicago is seeking a skilled sanitation supervisor to oversee night-shift sanitation activities. This role emphasizes hands-on management, with a focus on visible leadership on the production floor rather than behind a desk. The work environment is collaborative and team-oriented, requiring the new supervisor to match this dynamic from the outset. Responsibilities Lead and manage a sanitation team during the night shift in a large food production facility Ensure compliance with sanitation, food safety, and regulatory guidelines Promote accountability and consistency on the night shift through direct involvement and team engagement Coordinate sanitation tasks, use of chemicals, and equipment cleaning procedures Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet sanitation standards without interrupting production Provide training, guidance, and development opportunities for team members on proper practices and safety protocols Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities and regulatory compliance Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of 7+ years in sanitation leadership; high school diploma or GED required Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting Previous experience with sanitation in food manufacturing is essential Hands-on leadership style with a preference for floor-level involvement Able and willing to work consistently on the night shift Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead with clarity and accountability
