East Peoria, IL 61611 Now Hiring! A leading industrial waste management company is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Environmental Technician to join their team in East Peoria, IL. This is a full-time, first-shift opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced industrial environment. This position consists of approximately 80% physical labor and 20% administrative work, making it ideal for candidates with warehouse, forklift, shipping & receiving, recycling, or manufacturing experience. Job Responsibilities Receive, organize, and manage non-hazardous waste, hazardous waste, universal waste, and recyclable materials. Operate a forklift to safely move and transport materials throughout the facility. Maintain organized waste storage areas and ensure compliance with safety procedures. Track, document, and log waste and recycling materials using company systems and Microsoft Excel. Work closely with supervisors and team members to maintain efficient daily operations. Follow all company safety policies and environmental procedures. Qualifications Previous forklift experience is required. Basic Microsoft Excel and computer skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Manufacturing, warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, recycling, or waste management experience is preferred. Requirements Steel-toe leather work boots (minimum 6-inch ankle height) are required on your first day. Additional personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. Valid photo ID required for facility access. Must be able to complete an in-person interview.
