Apply Blacksmith Engineer/Designer East Peoria, IL Apply Description Blacksmith Engineer/Designer - 1st Shift East Peoria, IL $42-$46/hour DOE Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Join a Team That Values Your Expertise Manufacturing Maintenance Solutions (MMS) is seeking a skilled Blacksmith Engineer/Designer to support forging operations through innovative design, engineering expertise, and hands-on industrial knowledge. This role is ideal for an individual with blacksmithing, fabrication, or welding experience who can apply CAD design principles to develop lifting devices, tooling, fixtures, and process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and productivity. What You'll Do Design and develop lifting devices, tooling, fixtures, and equipment using CAD software Create and maintain engineering drawings and technical documentation Support forging, fabrication, and metalworking operations through practical design solutions Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve manufacturing processes Evaluate existing equipment and recommend design improvements Assist with project planning, layouts, and implementation of new equipment Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and operational requirements Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and develop effective engineering solutions Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and facility leadership Requirements What We're Looking For 1-3+ years of CAD/Design experience
