Job Description

An employee in this position is responsible for the daily operation of the computerized scales at the County solid waste facility to calculate tonnage and create accounts for billing. The employee is the first point of contact for customers depositing waste at the county landfill and operates all functions of the scalehouse. Operate scales to ensure accurate records are kept Receive and process payments Provide exemplary customer service Inspect incoming solid waste for compliance with regulations Prepare invoices, statements, cash reports and deposits Keep facility site cleaned Ensure solid waste regulations are being followed Follow close out operations at end of day Performs other duties as assigned Graduation from high school and at least six (6) months experience in clerical, equipment operations, and public contact. Criminal records check, drug screen, and references will be required for the successful candidate. All applications will be considered but not necessarily interviewed.
