Position Overview The Central Texas Food Bank is looking for a dynamic Retail Food Coordinator in our Food Sourcing Department. This role will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with food donors to ensure eatable foods are available for the food bank. Reporting to the Food Sourcing Manager within the Food Sourcing Department, this position will spend significant time out of the office to visit with donors to ensure they have a thorough understanding of established donation processes while also targeting efforts towards the expansion of food donors. Your Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Proven demonstration of good judgement and discretion A valid government-issued Driver's License and proof of auto liability insurance Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, internet applications in a Windows environment, and ability to learn internal software and applications Strong organizational skills, including ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a high-energy, fast-paced environment Experience working with food retailers or within food industry Excellent customer service skills Desire to minimize food waste and end hunger Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem solving skills Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills Your Responsibilities Establish and maintain long-term, productive relationships with grocery retail donors at the store and regional management levels to ensure a consistent flow of nutritious donated food and non-food items. Maintain strong, cooperative relationships with the food bank's Transportation and Warehouse staff, including CTFB Drivers Act as an advocate in the reduction of food waste by educating key partners of the impact of eliminating hunger. Onboard new grocery retail store locations to the food rescue program as needed. Field all calls from grocery retail donors and provide excellent customer service; answer questions about their donation program, troubleshoot issues or concerns, and coordinate pickups as needed. Maintain timely and appropriate donor recognition communications. Maintain accurate and timely donation spreadsheets and provides reports as required. Provide monthly key performance indicator (KPI) data and other monthly or quarterly reports. Setup donors and item numbers in CERES & other databases as needed. Visit retail donors within 21 county service area. Travel extensively, approximately 75%, within our 21 county service. Assist in the preparation of reports, data gathering, and completion of goals, metrics and deadlines. Commit to supporting CTFB's mission, vision, values, and culture Perform additional duties as necessary and/or requested Preferred qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, operations, supply chain management, other related field, or equivalent experience Experience working in the retail or manufacturing food industry Knowledge of warehousing procedures Bi-lingual in English and Spanish Experience using CRM to manage donor partnerships
