00 per hour depending on experience Job Summary A Waste Coordinator at SET Environmental is the liaison between our Client's Facility and the SET operations group while performing onsite waste management for the site. This would include but is not limited to: Maintaining the site waste tracking spreadsheet daily Preparing shipments to SET and other established waste vendors Being the point of contact person if there are compliance related issues regarding waste Housekeeping in 90 Day Waste Storage Area, including required inspections, and quality control of outgoing loads prior to leaving the site to ensure load is acceptable per DOT regulations as well as the tracking of the material once it leaves the site up until the return manifest copy is received Perform weekly visual inspections of items such as but not limited to Satellite Accumulation Areas, perform sampling, and maintaining waste management supplies such as drums and spill response materials Be a subject matter expert in areas concerning waste management and interact with different labs on a daily basis via phone, email, and/or in meetings Other duties assigned as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS B.S.
Degree in Environmental Studies or related field Must have 2+ years of practical field experience including hazardous waste handling, lab packing, chemical consolidation, manifesting, and scheduling rental containers Competent Computer Skills, including MS Office Excellent verbal & written communication skills Proven self-starter and highly motivated Obtain and keep current all certifications/licenses required (i.e., 40 Hour
HAZWOPER
Training, forklift certification, medical certification including respirator use) Must have knowledge of all RCRA and DOT regulations Ability to lift 50 lbs Schedule Full-time; must be available for project-specific schedules and potential emergency response needs.
