We are currently looking to hire a Utilities Manager based in Dallas, Texas . The Utilities Manager will work closely with Senior Plant Leadership. The Utilities Manager is responsible for assisting in the efficient utilization of current utilities and the development of all new energy and utilities projects for the site. Directly reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Director for the site, this position has a significant impact on the financial results for the site. Substantial dollars are spent each year on capital to support the utilities at the site and across the network. Key Responsibilities As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position: This individual will spend a significant portion of their time at the manufacturing facilities for audits, follow-ups, continuous improvement of utilities, and issue resolution. Assist in all Engineering planning, Energy and Water Conservation savings initiatives, the planning and managing of existing and future buildings and wastewater treatment plant facilities, as well as supporting all internal and external environmental audits Manage and coordinate all sustainability activities and improvement initiatives across the site; to include but not limited to facilities design, WWTP facilities design, expansion, equipment removal, construction planning, project engineering, facility management, process development, and technical support for the corporate strategic projects Assist in providing guidance and direction to the site's infrastructure, facilities and wastewater teams. Communicate and/or meet with regulatory officials as required, to properly maintain discharge permits; in some cases, providing them technical support, such as negotiating permit conditions, etc. Drive appropriate synergies to improve efficiency and prevent redundancy Supervise the budget of conducted projects in terms of responsibility Promote a culture of safety and quality mindset and desired behaviours across the site Observing and analyzing building energy performance and detailed analysis of facility energy use and cost including identifying, developing, and executing smart energy and energy efficiency projects by developing and implementing site-specific scopes of work, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring project success and profitability Physical Demands While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; taste and/or smell, talk and hear. Ability to bend & stoop at waist level as well as bend & twist neck and head. The employee must regularly endure repetitive minimal to moderate lifting 10lbs up to 50lbs and occasional team lifting above 50lbs. Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and results. The employee is frequently standing on a concrete surface for 2-4 hrs at a time during a shift and up to 12 on occasion Occasionally may need to climb stairs, step ladders, stool. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts. Work Environment Work is performed in an office and manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise and temperature variations. Work schedules could include nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide the ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate. Engagement in our Integrated Work Systems Ensure adherence to plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE). As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of IWS system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.Compensation & Benefits:

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable them to excel in this position. The following qualifications outline what we're looking for, including both required and preferred criteria:Education & Experience:
A bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, required. 5+ years of experience managing utility systems including Ammonia/Refrigeration, Boiler, Electrical, Compressed Air, required. Additional experience with HVAC, Security / Alarm Systems, and Wastewater, is preferred. Prior related experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Prior experience managing direct reports, required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of regulation and standards affectingPMO, FDA
regulated products Computer proficiency in MS Office including Excel, CMMS systems, required. Experience with AutoCAD and Smartsheets preferred. Demonstrated experience with energy audits, leading energy audits and reporting in a manufacturing facility Ability to understand and identify savings opportunities based on energy data and analytics Ability to interact with stakeholders in all levels of organization. Support and develop project business case Must be highly self-directed and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
