JOB SUMMARY

Working in a cannabis facility as a sanitation associate involves maintaining a clean, sterile environment to prevent contamination and ensure the health of the plants/products/personnel. This role takes place in a controlled indoor production environment, where temperature, humidity, and lighting are carefully regulated. The associate's tasks include but are not limited to cleaning and sanitizing all facility common areas, hallways, bathrooms as well as production equipment like trays, pots, scissors, and ventilation systems, as well as wiping down surfaces with approved disinfectants. The Sanitation Associates are tasked with aiding the Cultivation team with the setup and breakdown of all rooms and processes in Cultivation. They may also be asked to travel to our Lewes Thrive Dispensary for routine housekeeping.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT

Sanitation associates are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, masks, and coveralls, to avoid contaminating plants. Conditions in all operations production settings can range from cold to hot, or humid to dry. The working environment is fast paced and requires attention to detail to maintain a safe and sterile environment. Work involves daily exposure to allergens such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Aiding the Cultivation team with the setup and breakdown of all rooms and processes in Cultivation. All tasks as assigned by management. Assist in carpentry project like converting Flower to Veg rooms, rebuilding rooms after harvest and construction of tables or platforms as needed. Assist with cleaning after harvesting and during room resets. Cleaning and sanitizing cultivation equipment like trays, pots, scissors, tools, and ventilation systems, as well as wiping down surfaces with approved disinfectants. Disinfect grow room surfaces, including floors, walls, and workstations. Dispose of plant waste and other materials according to facility protocols. Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Follow strict sanitation protocols and SOPS to prevent contamination and the spread of pests or diseases. Maintain cleanliness of ventilation systems and filters. May be asked to assist with housekeeping (performing cleaning duties of common areas, hallways, bathrooms, etc.) Mix water and detergents or cleaning agents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, in accordance with

Safety standards. Monitor and maintain cleanliness in water systems and irrigation equipment. Notifies supervisors of contamination, infestations, or mold within the building. Perform regular inspections of grow rooms for cleanliness and report any issues. Prepare and apply approved cleaning solutions and disinfectants. Record and log cleaning activities and report any issues to the supervisor or to the cultivation manager. Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) during all sanitation tasks. Work additional hours as needed.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, stretch, stand, or walk for long periods. Must be able to endure extreme lighting conditions for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds at a time. Must be able to sustain exposure to extreme noise for extended periods of time. Must be able to tolerate strong smells/odors for extended periods of time. Must be able to withstand high heat and humidity for extended periods of time. Must be able to withstand coldness and dryness for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in proximity to marijuana plants for up to ten hours a day. Must be prepared to experience regular physical exposure to wet conditions. Must be able to use a computer. The normal range of hearing & eyesight is required (can be corrected). Ability to handle repetitive motion tasks and physically demanding activities, including the use of cleaning equipment. Must be able to safely handle and work with cleaning chemicals. Must be able to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for long periods of time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience is highly desirable.
