We are seeking dedicated and reliable garbage collectors to join our team immediately. This position involves collecting waste materials from designated residential, commercial, or municipal locations without the need for driving responsibilities. Shift:

M-F 530am- 530pm Responsibilities Collect and load garbage using front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, or roll-off trucks, ensuring proper handling of waste materials Safely operate manual transmission garbage trucks in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws Load and unload waste containers efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment throughout the shift Follow traffic laws and safety procedures during route driving and collection activities Assist with the maintenance of mechanical knowledge related to garbage truck operation and troubleshooting Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials regulations when applicable Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries professionally and maintaining positive community relations Perform heavy lifting tasks safely during waste collection operations Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including air brake and other vehicle operation standards Requirements Prior outdoor work experience preferred; (familiarity with solid waste management an asset) Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual load & unload tasks consistently Excellent safety protocol adherence skills to ensure personal and team safety at all times Must have PPE (hard hat, vest, glasses, gloves, ear plugs, dust masks) everyday to work.
