Full time General Description Under close supervision, the purpose of this position is to perform entry-level work in support of the construction and maintenance of Toho Water Authority's water resources systems. Workflow involves performing semi-skilled manual labor, operating heavy equipment, locates, repair water/wastewater lines to ensure quality control services to customers. Reports to the Zone Foreman. This position is assigned to the weekend crew and requires a regular weekend work schedule of Friday - Monday 6:30am-5:00pm. Employees in this position are eligible to receive weekend differential pay for hours worked during designated weekend shifts. Essential Functions 1. Must be physically able to operate a vehicle, construction equipment, and various hands-on power tools. Tasks involves the ability to exert heavy physical effort in the heavy work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling of objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (20-50 pounds) and occasionally very heavy weight (in excess of 100 pounds).

2. Performing skills from basic to high tolerance of pipefitting, Installing, replacing, repair and remove sewer laterals blockages. Breakage and removal of concrete and asphalt repairs. Exercises valves, checks hydrants for leaks, services for customers. Minimum Qualifications Any combination of education and experience demonstrating the candidate's ability to perform successfully in this position will be considered. 1. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED Administrator.

2. This is an entry level position; previous relevant work experience is preferred but not required.

3. Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License. Physical Demands

Specific visionabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptionand ability to adjust focus.

Environmental factors include outdoor conditions; rugged terrain,slippery surfaces, varying weather, including, heat, cold, dry, wet weather. In addition, noise, darkness,brightness, vibrations, traffic, biological agents, chemicals, gas/ fumes, magnetic fields, or congested area.
