  • Applications will no longer be accepted starting 09-08-2026 Job Summary Performs responsible, skilled work involving the operation of large side-loading automated vehicles (65,000 GVW) and rear end loaders to collect residential and commercial refuse from designated areas of the City of Orlando.
Work is performed under the supervision of a Sanitation Supervisor. Performance is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation of routes, trip tickets, and discussion of problems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of the Solid Waste Driver program or two (2) years of experience operating heavy equipment vehicles of 18,000 GVW or more and familiarity with hydraulics operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Class B CDL required. Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions.
