PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Under general supervision performs manual laboring tasks associated with streets and stormwater collection systems and performs related duties as assigned.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties have been provided as examples of the essential types of work performed by positions within this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind work assignments as needed.

• Cleans and maintains drainage ditches, swales, culverts and stormwater collection systems;
• Assists crews in constructing and maintaining sidewalks, headwalls, driveways, stormwater collection systems and related maintenance tasks;
• Operates a variety of vehicles and equipment;
• Restores work area to original condition;
• Supports and actively promotes the City's safety programs.

Follows standard operating procedures, observes safety practices and reports potential safety hazards;
