Job Overview Hansen Commercial Services is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Trash Baler Technician to support waste and recycling operations at our client's manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for managing designated waste and recyclable materials throughout the facility, operating trash balers/compactors and approved material-handling equipment, maintaining the baler and dumpster areas, and helping ensure waste is processed safely and efficiently. As a Hansen team member working inside a client facility, you are expected to represent Hansen Commercial Services professionally at all times . Reliability, communication, teamwork, attention to safety, and respect for the client's facility are essential to this role. Key Responsibilities Safely operate trash balers, compactors, and other approved waste-handling equipment. Collect, transport, sort, and process cardboard, plastic, trash, and other designated waste or recyclable materials. Monitor balers, dumpsters, trailers, and designated waste areas throughout the shift to prevent overflow or operational disruptions. Prepare, tie, remove, stage, and manage completed bales according to site procedures. Operate a forklift or other material-handling equipment when trained, certified, and authorized to do so . Move or exchange dumpsters and waste containers as directed and when properly authorized. Maintain clean, organized, and safe baler, dumpster, dock, and surrounding work areas. Immediately report full dumpsters, equipment issues, unsafe conditions, spills, or other conditions that could interfere with operations. Perform basic housekeeping and routine equipment checks associated with the assigned work area. Follow all Hansen and client safety requirements, including PPE, traffic rules, equipment procedures, and restricted-area requirements. Coordinate professionally with Hansen supervisors and designated

personnel regarding waste volume, dumpster needs, equipment issues, and operational priorities. Complete assigned shift responsibilities and communicate any unfinished work or outstanding issues before leaving the site. Perform additional facility-support duties within the assigned scope as directed by Hansen management. Qualifications & Expectations Experience with trash balers, compactors, industrial waste, recycling, manufacturing, or warehouse operations is preferred. Forklift experience is strongly preferred; employees may only operate equipment for which they have received required training and authorization. Ability to safely perform physical work, including standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the shift. Comfortable working in an active manufacturing/industrial environment. Strong awareness of workplace hazards and commitment to following safety procedures. Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential. Ability to follow instructions and communicate issues promptly to supervisors. Must maintain professional conduct while working at the client facility. Must comply with Hansen Commercial Services and client policies regarding safety, PPE, confidentiality, conduct, and facility access.
