We're hiring Sanitation Technicians to join a leading food manufacturing facility in Romeoville. This is a hands-on sanitation role—not a traditional janitorial or cleaning position. You'll help ensure a safe, clean, and food-ready production environment by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing processing equipment, production lines, and facility areas before the morning shift.

Romeoville, IL Full-time overnight schedule What You'll Do Clean and sanitize food production equipment, conveyors, prep areas, washing rooms, drains, and floors. Use hot-water hoses, chemical foamers, squeegees, and compressed air to complete detailed washdowns. Safely handle and apply sanitation chemicals according to established safety procedures. Complete sanitation tasks within scheduled cleaning windows and assist with box folding and production line setup as needed. Participate in daily safety meetings and follow all PPE and food safety requirements. Work closely with team leads and supervisors to maintain clean, safe, and audit-ready production areas. What We're Looking For Ability to stand, bend, squat, reach, twist, lift, sweep, and scrub throughout an 8-hour shift. Comfortable working in a wet environment with hot water, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this overnight position. Ability to follow strict GMP, food safety, and sanitation procedures. Manufacturing, food production, or sanitation experience is preferred but not required. Food Safety Requirements Because this position works in a food manufacturing environment, employees must follow strict hygiene and safety standards: Wear full-length pants such as jeans, sweatpants, or leggings that can get wet or exposed to cleaning products. No jewelry, piercings, watches, fake nails, nail polish, or eyelash extensions while working in production areas. Hair nets and beard nets are required in production zones. Steel-toe safety shoes are required and must be provided by the employee.
