Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Waste Management Helper to assist with the collection, loading, sorting, and disposal of waste materials. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, performing physical labor, and working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Key ResponsibilitiesDuties Assist with the loading and unloading of recyclable and solid waste materials using material handling equipment such as forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks Operate heavy machinery including loaders, excavators, and other land management equipment safely and efficiently Support landfill management activities by sorting recyclable materials and handling waste according to environmental compliance standards Perform routine cleaning of work areas, waste containers, and equipment to maintain sanitation standards Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents during outdoor work and heavy lifting tasks Assist with hazardous materials handling in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and safety regulations Support recycling initiatives by sorting recyclable materials and ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed Qualifications Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Strong awareness of workplace safety. Previous experience in waste management, sanitation, construction, landscaping, or general labor is a plus but not required. Ability to follow instructions and company procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and carry heavy materials. Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and climb as required. Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and moving vehicles. Work Schedule Full-time or part-time positions may be available. Early morning starts, weekends, holidays, and overtime may be required depending on operational needs.
