Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic 3rd Shift Sanitation Technician to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of our food production facility during overnight hours. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of production areas, equipment, and facilities using appropriate cleaning methods and chemical agents. Handle chemicals safely by following proper chemical handling procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection as required. Conduct sanitation procedures in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards. Utilize industrial cleaning tools and janitorial equipment effectively to maintain a clean and safe environment. Assist in the setup and breakdown of sanitation stations, ensuring all areas are sanitized according to schedule. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities, including heavy lifting, chemical handling safety procedures, and proper disposal of waste materials. Document sanitation activities accurately and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly to supervisors. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and chemical agents is highly desirable. Basic math skills for measuring chemicals, mixing solutions, and recording data accurately. Knowledge of GMP standards, food safety practices, and sanitation procedures within a production setting. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently during overnight shifts. Familiarity with safety protocols related to chemical handling, respiratory protection, and general workplace safety is a plus.
