SUMMARY:
The Sanitation team member is responsible for ensuring that the cleaning and sanitizing all processing equipment and processing areas within their area of responsibility. The position requires working around cleaning detergents and chemicals in a wet environment and could be either hot or cold. The position is fast paced, on a tight deadline and requires attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for assigned area while sanitation is being accomplished Utilize chemicals and cleaners to sanitize the equipment in accordance with prescribed processes and procedures. Utilize high pressure water hoses and hot water along with hand scrubbers or brushers to clean equipment. Maneuver in, around, and on top of equipment to reach areas needing to be cleaned. Work quickly and efficiently to meet tight deadlines to ensure shift startup is not delayed. Responsible for safety, making sure Lock Out Tag Out procedures and Fall Protection equipment are utilized when appropriate.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will/will not have supervisory responsibility. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
