The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all areas meet health and safety standards through effective cleaning and sanitation practices. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of food processing areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure compliance with health regulations. Conduct routine inspections of sanitation practices to identify areas needing improvement or additional attention. Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment for various surfaces and materials in accordance with safety guidelines. Assist in the setup and breakdown of production lines as needed, ensuring all equipment is cleaned before and after use. Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, including moving large containers or equipment during the cleaning process. Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and tasks completed to ensure accountability and compliance with company standards. Collaborate with team members to uphold cleanliness across the facility, promoting a culture of safety and hygiene. Qualifications Previous experience in food production or food processing environments is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques and custodial duties is highly desirable. Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Strong physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and prolonged standing during shifts. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Willingness to learn new skills related to sanitation processes and equipment operation.
