Job Description
Description Summary Follows established procedures for the cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming and sanitizing of equipment, containers and the facility. Established procedures are documented in the Sanitation Standards of Operations Procedure book and kept in the supervisor's office. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions Responsible for cleaning work area as assigned by the sanitation crew chief or supervisor, and must be able to perform these duties in all areas. Follows established procedures for the cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming and sanitizing of equipment, containers and the facility. Also includes disposal of garbage with forklift, maintaining drains and floor ways clear. Must be able to operate production equipment correctly to facilitate proper cleaning. Follows safety procedures to ensure the safe handling of chemicals and equipment. Measures and mixes chemicals per established procedures. Records work performed on Sanitation Schedule at end of each workday. Maintains dumpster area in clean and orderly condition. Follows safety rules and company policies. Other Duties Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate. Receives written and verbal instructions on the above job tasks and performs other duties as directed by Supervisor or crew chief. Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Must be properly trained to handle chemicals. Forklift experience preferred.
