The City of Dickinson is looking for a dedicated Water Reclamation Facility Operator to join our team and help maintain safe, efficient, and reliable water reclamation operations. Why Join Us? Pay:
$24.24- $26.76 per hour (DOE)
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, plus a rotating on-call schedule
What You'll Do:
Conduct routine rounds and inspections throughout the Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) buildings and grounds Collect and analyze process control samples to support the efficient operation of the Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) process Maintain WRF equipment and assets using computerized maintenance software Collect compliance samples in accordance with the North Dakota Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NDPDES) permit Perform preventative maintenance on WRF equipment and assist with major equipment repairs and maintenance Monitor facility operations and make adjustments as needed Maintain accurate maintenance records, inventories, and chain of custody documentation Perform on-call duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED Two years of construction or utility work experience preferred Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems and repair Ability to operate and maintain equipment, tools, machinery, and water utility systems Ability to understand environmental compliance requirements and operational procedures Strong communication, observation, recordkeeping, and problem-solving skills Basic computer skills and the ability to use maintenance software and other related applications Requirements (or ability to obtain within required timeframe): Valid driver's license North Dakota Class A Commercial Learner's Permit within 3 months of hire North Dakota Class A Commercial Driver's License within 6 months of hire, including Automatic Transmission, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements North Dakota Department of Health pH Certification within 90 days of hire
