Waste Disposal Attendant / CUMC-Milstein-CHONY Part-Time / Rotating Shift At NewYork-Presbyterian, our staff are essential to ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. From friendly smiles and conversations, to the continuous focus on infection control, our waste disposal professionals help to provide a positive experience for everyone within our hospital. If you're ready to play a key role in the care and caring of our patients, explore the following position: Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Waste Management, performs a variety of tasks to ensure that all medical, solid and recyclable waste is disposed of in the proper manner. This is a non-professional position. This part-time position is at CUMC campus, rotating shifts, with schedules on Weekends and Holidays. Preferred Criteria Customer service experience Required Criteria High School Diploma or
GED. DOT
certification to remove hazardous waste or to be completed within two months of hire. Certification to operate pallet jack and/or motorized pony cart or to be completed within two months of hire Ability to read and understand English.
