As we continue to expand our Columbus, OH facility, we're looking for talented individuals who are eager to contribute to our continued growth and success. About theRole:
The Plant Float provides flexible support across the facility to help ensure safe, efficient, and productive operations. This position assists with production, equipment operation, facility maintenance, material handling, and other operational needs as business demands change. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, mechanically inclined, and willing to take on a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Support daily plant operations wherever additional resources are needed Operate forklifts, pumps, and other plant equipment as trained Assist with receiving, transferring, and processing materials Perform routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance on equipment Assist with facility housekeeping and maintaining a clean, organized work environment Support production personnel during equipment changeovers, shutdowns, and special projects Load and unload trucks and assist with inventory movement Assist with sampling, inspections, and quality control activities as needed Follow all environmental, safety, and company policies and procedures Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or operational problems to the Production Manager Crosstrain in multiple areas of the facility to provide operational coverage Perform other duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or GED required Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environment preferred Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate industrial equipment Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Reliable attendance and flexibility to work varying schedules and provide coverage for off-shift, weekend, or overtime assignments to support plant operations Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work around industrial equipment Ability to lift up to 50 poundsPay:
