$22.00/HR About the Role Manpower is hiring a Sanitation Technician to support a leading food manufacturing facility in Hanover, PA. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and food‑safe production environment by sanitizing equipment, production lines, and facility areas according to established food safety and plant standards. This is a hands‑on, physical role ideal for individuals who enjoy active work, follow procedures well, and are comfortable in a food‑production environment. What You'll Do Clean and sanitize production equipment, packaging machinery, and facility areas following the Master Sanitation Schedule. Disassemble and reassemble equipment for deep cleaning and inspection. Operate sanitation tools such as power washers, foamers, scrubbers, vacuums, compactors, and lifts. Mix and handle cleaning chemicals safely; follow SDS and plant procedures. Maintain housekeeping standards across production, warehouse, restrooms, offices, and breakrooms. Support allergen control, spill response, waste removal, and recycling. Follow all GMP, SQF, HACCP, PPE, and LOTO safety requirements. Document sanitation tasks, chemical usage, and cleaning verifications. Work independently and as part of a team to meet sanitation schedules. Assist with emergency cleaning, special projects, and overtime as needed. What We're Looking For High School Diploma or GED required. 1 year of sanitation, industrial cleaning, or food manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and work in wet, humid, or variable‑temperature environments. Comfortable working at heights above 15 ft. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
