Recycling Laborer Job Description The Recycling Laborer supports site operations by safely handling and processing non-hazardous waste materials. This role focuses on moving and preparing barrels for recycling, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining a clean and efficient work area in an outdoor environment. Responsibilities Move barrels off trucks safely and efficiently using appropriate methods and equipment. Weigh barrels before processing and accurately record measurements for each batch. Wash and clean barrels according to established procedures and safety guidelines. Log and track batches of barrels and materials to ensure accurate documentation and traceability. Support general site operations related to non-hazardous waste disposal and recycling activities. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while handling materials and working outdoors. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily tasks and workflow. Perform general labor tasks as needed to support field service and construction-related activities. Work reliably in outdoor conditions, including exposure to varying weather elements. Essential Skills Experience working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, moving, and handling barrels and materials. Basic understanding of waste disposal and recycling processes for non-hazardous materials. Capability to follow safety procedures and guidelines consistently. Attention to detail when weighing, washing, and logging batches of barrels. Reliability and willingness to work in a physically demanding, outdoor environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background in construction, waste disposal, or field service work. Experience in general labor roles in outdoor or industrial settings. Comfort working around industrial equipment and site operations. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Why Work Here? The environment is physically demanding and requires appropriate work attire suitable for outdoor labor, including durable clothing and footwear that support safety and comfort throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Colton, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.75 - $22.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
