Job Title:
Trash and Linen Tech Job Description The Trash & Linen Tech is responsible for managing trash and laundry throughout the facility. This role involves removing trash and laundry from rooms and areas, placing them into designated bins, and transporting them to the appropriate locations. As some bags can be heavy, candidates must be able to lift between 75-100 lbs. Ensuring adherence to sanitation standards is vital as cleanliness and safety are top priorities. Responsibilities Remove trash and laundry from rooms and areas within the facility. Place trash and laundry into designated bins and transport them to specified areas. Maintain high sanitation standards to ensure cleanliness and safety. Work rotating weekends due to the hospital's 24/7 operation. Essential Skills Cleaning and janitorial skills. Housekeeping expertise. Ability to lift and push 50-75 lbs. Comfortable working in a medical environment with exposure to blood and trauma. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ year of housekeeping/janitorial experience. Experience in a hospital or hotel setting is preferred. Ability to stand for 6-8 hours per day. Why Work Here? As the smallest hospital in the health system, it fosters close collaboration among staff members. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
