Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Specialist to join our facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of commercial and residential spaces. Your expertise will contribute to creating safe, hygienic, and welcoming environments for clients, staff, and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across various facilities, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums to ensure optimal performance. Handle chemical agents safely in accordance with established safety protocols, including proper storage and disposal. Assist with custodial responsibilities related to sanitation, including restroom cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas. Support facilities maintenance activities by reporting repairs or hazards promptly. Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and supplies usage for inventory management. Experience Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings. Familiarity with cleaning techniques and equipment operation, including industrial cleaning tools. Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols. Prior porter or industrial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory.
