Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Possession of a valid Class CDL license and/or obtain within six (1) year of employment.
  • Possession of a Class I Wastewater Collection license and/or obtain license within one (1) year.
  • Possession of a Class D Water Distribution license and/or obtain license within one (1) year.
The Utility Worker performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution and wastewater collection systems to ensure the efficient delivery of clean water and proper flow of wastewater. The position operates and maintains wells, storage tanks, pump stations, and related equipment; conducts inspections; repairs pipes, pumps, valves, and manholes; and ensures compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The Utility Worker troubleshoots system issues, performs maintenance on collection lines, and responds to emergencies and on-call assignments. The role requires operating heavy machinery, performing physical labor, and coordinating with other utility staff to maintain continuous service. Please follow this link to review the
