CIP Bay Attendant - Stephenville, TX Join Our Team! Western Dairy Transport (WDT) is looking for a dependable, safety-focused CIP Bay Attendant to help ensure our food-grade dairy tankers meet the highest cleanliness and sanitation standards. What You'll Do As a CIP Bay Attendant, you'll be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and moving food-grade dairy tankers while following strict food safety and sanitation procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
Safely operate Clean-In-Place (CIP) milk bulk tank wash systems. Clean and sanitize dairy tankers according to company procedures. Perform rinse cycles using proper instrumentation throughout the CIP process. Clean hoses, carts, buckets, wash bay floors, handrails, sinks, and surrounding work areas. Sanitize control panels, equipment, and the CIP control room. Clean and maintain caustic, reclaim, and fresh water tanks. Complete confined space assessments before entering tankers. Conduct swab testing to verify tanker cleanliness.
Maintain accurate wash logs and seal logs. Perform daily inspections of the yard truck. Operate a terminal tractor to move tankers safely throughout the yard. Respond promptly to spills and complete proper cleanup and sanitation. Organize tools, hoses, and supplies. Follow all HACCP, JPA, OSHA, and company safety procedures.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in the company's random drug and alcohol testing program. Basic understanding of food-grade tanker components and systems. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to read and understand CIP operating procedures. Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work. PreferredOne year of related experience. Entry-level mechanical knowledge or experience. Physical Requirements This position requires employees to : Stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods. Work on ladders, catwalks, and in confined spaces. Lift, carry, and maneuver hoses, fittings, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Safely handle cleaning chemicals while following PPE requirements. Read gauges, inspect equipment, and identify potential sanitation issues. Operate a yard truck in tight spaces safely and efficiently. Work Environment This position works in a combination of: Wash bay facilities Light industrial environments Outdoor conditions Employees are regularly exposed to changing weather conditions, equipment noise, cleaning chemicals, high-pressure wash systems, dust, fumes, oils, grease, and other industrial conditions.
