Temp RPM Staffing is seeking a Sanitation General Laborer! The Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and proper waste handling at a landfill facility. This role supports daily landfill operations by collecting, transporting, and disposing of waste materials while following environmental, health, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, transport, and properly dispose of waste and debris in designated landfill areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work zones, grounds, and equipment.
  • Assist with unloading, spreading, and compacting waste materials as directed.
  • Identify and remove hazards or debris that may impact safety or operations.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling recyclable or restricted materials.
  • Operate hand tools and basic equipment safely.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, hazards, or unusual site conditions to supervisors.
  • Support overall landfill operations by assisting operators and crew as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior sanitation, waste management, or general labor experience a plus.
  • Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements.
  • Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Work Environment:
  • Outdoor landfill setting with exposure to odors, dust, and varying weather conditions.
  • Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, boots, safety glasses, and reflective gear.
