Job Summary Join our team as a Street Sweeper and play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and visually appealing outdoor environments. In this energetic position, you will operate specialized street sweeping equipment to efficiently clear debris, dirt, and litter from public roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and other outdoor spaces. Your proactive approach will help enhance community safety, improve aesthetics, and support overall grounds maintenance efforts. This paid position offers the opportunity to develop skills in equipment operation, landscape upkeep, and outdoor safety protocols while contributing to a cleaner environment. Responsibilities Operate street sweeping machinery and ground maintenance equipment to remove debris from streets, parking lots, sidewalks, and other outdoor areas. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and perform basic maintenance or report repairs needed. Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting identification, and gardening to support overall groundskeeping efforts. CDL Required. Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Use hand tools and power tools safely for various groundskeeping tasks including hardscape cleaning and minor repairs. Support outdoor work activities by maintaining cleanliness of work areas and ensuring proper disposal of debris and waste materials. Experience Prior outdoor work experience in groundskeeping or landscaping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining grounds maintenance equipment is highly desirable. Familiarity with horticulture principles, plant identification, lawn care practices, and hardscape upkeep will be advantageous. Experience working with irrigation systems and understanding pesticide management procedures is a plus. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety standards is essential.
