Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to support sanitation and food safety operations throughout our facility. This position will help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant manufacturing environment while supporting the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP). The Sanitation Technician will monitor sanitation processes, perform routine inspections, assist with investigations and corrective actions, and maintain accurate sanitation-related documentation. The ideal candidate is dependable, follows procedures carefully, and understands the importance of cleanliness, food safety, and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Requirements Previous experience in sanitation, preferably in a dietary supplement, food manufacturing, or similar manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation procedures. Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 111 and Part 117 preferred. Knowledge of HACCP and HARPC is a plus. Familiarity with Environmental Monitoring Programs (EMP) , ATP testing, allergen testing, and sanitation verification processes preferred. Familiarity with chemical control programs and proper chemical handling and safety procedures. Strong communication, critical-thinking, attention-to-detail, and organizational skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate documentation. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and follow all safety and sanitation requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Sanitation Operations Monitor sanitation activities in production and non-production areas to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization procedures are consistently followed. Work closely with Production and Housekeeping teams to ensure sanitation tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Conduct routine inspections to verify cleanliness and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) . Assist with corrective actions when sanitation verification swab results do not meet established requirements. Monitor sanitation swab and testing supply inventory and notify the Sanitation Manager when additional supplies are needed. Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) Assist with implementing and maintaining the facility's Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) . Ensure designated critical areas and hygienic zones are swabbed according to established procedures for microbial contamination monitoring. Assist with environmental sampling, testing, and accurate documentation. Support corrective actions and follow-up activities when environmental monitoring results indicate elevated microbial levels. Machine, Scale & Sensor Calibration Management Monitor the calibration status of calibrated equipment and devices throughout the facility. Notify the Sanitation Manager when calibrations are approaching their due dates. Assist with the preparation and coordination of scheduled calibration activities. Track the condition and functionality of scales, sensors, and other applicable equipment. Ensure non-functional equipment is reported and repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
