POSITION SUMMARY

The Busser / Barback supports both the dining room and bar teams by keeping service areas clean, organized, stocked, and running efficiently. This position is responsible for clearing and resetting tables, assisting servers, restocking the bar, maintaining cleanliness, and helping ensure guests receive fast, professional service. Key Responsibilities Clear dirty plates, glassware, silverware, and trash from tables promptly. Clean, sanitize, and reset tables according to restaurant standards. Assist servers with water service, bread service, food running, and guest needs as directed. Keep dining room, service stations, restrooms, and common areas clean and organized. Remove trash, recycling, and empty glassware from dining and bar areas. Restock plates, silverware, napkins, glassware, menus, condiments, and service supplies. Support bartenders by stocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, straws, napkins, and bar tools. Wash, polish, and organize glassware as needed. Change kegs, refill ice bins, and replenish bar supplies during service. Keep the bar top, bar floor, sinks, coolers, and storage areas clean and organized. Communicate with servers, bartenders, hosts, and managers to maintain smooth service flow. Assist with opening, closing, and side-work duties. Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and workplace safety standards. Respond quickly to spills, broken glass, and other safety concerns. Provide friendly and professional support to guests when interacting on the floor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous restaurant, bussing, barback, or hospitality experience preferred but not required. Strong work ethic and ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow directions and complete tasks with a sense of urgency. Basic knowledge of restaurant sanitation and safety procedures. Must be dependable, organized, and professional. Ability to work around alcohol responsibly and follow all applicable laws and company policies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including bus tubs, trash, cases of beverages, and kegs with assistance when needed. Ability to work in a busy, loud, and fast-paced restaurant/bar environment. Must be able to safely handle glassware, cleaning chemicals, and wet surfaces.

SCHEDULE REQUIRMENTS

Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods. Flexible scheduling may be required based on restaurant and bar needs.
